Crowe & Scott, P.A., then known as Hiner & Crowe, was established in 1979 by Edwin A. Hiner and Tom Crowe, who were thereafter joined by Mike Scott. Tom Crowe now heads the firm and is assisted by other staff members. The firm concentrates on a litigation practice. A substantial portion of the criminal practice involves the litigation of so-called white collar matters. The civil practice includes personal injury, commercial litigation, and employment law. In its September, 1998 issue, Phoenix Magazine identified Crowe & Scott, P.A. as being among the top law firms in Maricopa County in the area of Civil Litigation/ Criminal Defense. We have defended corporate and individual clients in a wide range of matters including allegations of public corruption, contracting fraud, environmental offenses, tax violations, bank offenses, computer crimes and other matters in the state and federal courts. This same extensive litigation experience is brought to bear in connection with the firm's civil practice. While Tom Crowe is admitted to practice in other jurisdictions, the firm concentrates its practice in the state and federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, which is the Phoenix metropolitan area. The fundamental philosophy of the firm is to provide quality, one-on-one, professional and effective representation to its clients on fair and reasonable terms.
